To look at digital materials, you'll need to acquire from SAA's "Trends in Archives Practice" series, Appraisal and Acquisition Strategies, edited by Michael Shallcross and Christopher Prom and including assigned readings "Appraising Digital Records" by Geof Huth and "Collecting Digital Manuscripts and Archives" by Megan Barnard and Gabriela Redwine. Available as an e-book from PCL: Barbara Craig, Archival Appraisal, Theory and Practice (Munich, 2004).
