8 October 2003 MEETING MINUTES
Next Meeting: Wednesday, 15 October 2003
Present: Ron Drees, Mary Anne MarDock, Aubrey Carrier, Catherine Stollar, Jennifer Madden, Daniel Alonzo, Nora Stick, Vanessa Cameron, Cherie Baker.
Daniel called the meeting to order at 12:15 p.m.
Cactus Photo
* Daniel is taking steps to include UT-SAA in next year’s Cactus Yearbook. If we are allowed to submit our own photograph, he recommended taking one at the Archives Week banner hanging on the 26th.
Bowling Party
* The PCS Bowling Party Mixer is still on schedule for tomorrow night, Thursday 9 October at 7:00 p.m. in the Texas Union.
Archives Week 2003 Publicity
* Daniel will solicit volunteers to blanket campus with Archives Week 2003
posters and flyers on the Friday and Saturday before Archives Week, 17-18 October.
* Aubrey is in contact with representatives from campus radio, the Office of
Public Affairs, and the COSHRC website regarding distribution of press releases.
* The upcoming Declaration of Independence tour and presentation by the former
Mobil/Exxon archivist are other opportunities for distributing flyers and Archives
Week information.
Daniel adjourned the meeting at 12:40 p.m.
Next Meeting
* The next meeting will be held Wednesday, 15 October at 12:15 p.m. in SZB 556.
